Hey guys
Taking a short hiatus to work on some other projects! I’ve also learnt that writing two poems a week is very draining so I’m taking some time away but I will be back soon!

See you guys in about 2 months

Somatic Mosaicism

Thoughts racing
down pathways
lighting up neutrons
in a never-ending
firework display.

Ideas buzzing
down familiar routes
and new connections;
a flurry of activity
bringing about new surprises.

A landscape in action,
turning into a collage of genomes
pieces together in our brains,
colourful mutations
reinventing the path
of mosaic individuality.

Note: This poem was inspired by the article Scientists Surprised to Find No Two Neurons Are Genetically Alike by Simon Makin.
